Richard A. Iacino
1946 – 2011
Richard A. Iacino, a valued and loyal member of the Miller School for 37 years, died unexpectedly on July 17 in Miami. The chief of staff to Dean Pascal J. Goldschmidt, M.D., and his two predecessors, Iacino was, at the time of his death, also adjunct assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and assistant vice president for health program development. His impact on the medical school is immeasurable. He was instrumental in the development of the Mailman Center for Child Development, the Comprehensive AIDS Program, and the Center on Adult Development and Aging. He also almost single-handedly built the medical campus’s Wellness Center. Memorial Gifts will support the Medical Wellness Center.
