Our fourth annual ’Canes Day of Service program will bring alumni and friends together in ’Canes Communities across the country to give back to and make a difference in their communities as they participate in local service projects. Pancakes with Pat: Chicago ’Canes

In 2017, inspired by “’Canes Care for ’Canes,” the University of Miami’s Pat Whitely, Ed.D. ’94, senior vice president for student affairs and alumni engagement, began serving everyone's favorite treat, pancakes, to students as a late-night snack after their studies. Join in welcoming Dr. Whitely to Chicago, and enjoy light bites, drinks, and gain insights on academic initiatives and campus life as she continues her national tour, bringing the time-honored tradition of “Pancakes with Pat” to our ’Canes Communities.

Bites at the Light: Baseball Pregame Celebration

The University of Miami Alumni Association, in partnership with the Miami ’Canes Community, invites fans of all ages to enjoy food and fun before the Miami Hurricanes take on the Louisville Cardinals. Each ticket includes game admission, food, and beverages—including beer, wine, and our famous Mark Light milkshakes—as well as U swag and exclusive giveaways.
