Newman Alumni Center reopens

Newman Alumni Center reopens

If you've driven or strolled past the Robert and Judi Prokop Newman Alumni Center (NAC) recently, you will have seen the building closed and encased in scaffolding.

Now, after a months-long exterior refresh, the NAC, an inviting campus space for visiting ’Canes and their families and friends since its dedication in 2010, is open once more.

The NAC is at 6200 San Amaro Drive, across the street from Mark Light Stadium, and alumni and their guests are welcome Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Enjoy the displays of artifacts from the University's history in the lobby, browse through yearbooks in the library, or just relax in the spacious living room.*

New to the NAC is Vicky Café, serving Cuban sandwiches, snacks, and beverages to building visitors and the public. Vicky has the same opening hours as the NAC.

The next time you're in Coral Gables, stop by, grab a cafecito, and say hello!

Go ’Canes!

*Please note that NAC rooms are periodically closed for private events.
