Celebrating our newest alumni at Fall 2025 Commencement
As family, friends, and University of Miami leadership and faculty looked on, more than 1,000 newly minted alumni were awarded degrees during last week’s ceremonies for undergraduate and graduate students at the Watsco Center. The ceremony featured special video greetings at the undergraduate degree ceremony and graduate degree ceremony from Darren Dupriest, B.B.A. ’91, president of the University’s Alumni Association.
After wrapping up the regular season with a win at Pittsburgh, the Miami Hurricanes head to Texas A&M to take on the Aggies in the first round of the College Football Playoff. Coach Mario Cristobal reflects with gratitude on the season—and with purpose on the challenge that awaits.
The third phase of the University’s housing facilities strategic plan, Gables Village will house more than 1,450 upper-class students when it opens in 2028 on the site of Mahoney-Pearson Residential College, which will be demolished next summer to make way for the new housing complex.
