The University of Miami’s first Hispanic and native Spanish-speaking president, Julio Frenk, is departing the institution to become the next chancellor of UCLA. From academics to health care to fundraising, his accomplishments at the U span our institution.

Join us for an evening of celebration, connection, and community at the Los Angeles ’Canes LGBTQ + Friends Summer Soirée! Meet fellow students, allies, and friends in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. We will have a current student from UM’s LGBTQ Student Center available to answer any questions and talk about how supportive the center has been. This is a free event, and donations to the LBGTQ Student Center are welcomed.
