The Distinguished Alumni Endowed Lecture Series honors University of Miami alumni whose lifetime achievements and professional excellence have brought distinction to their fields and to their alma mater. On March 3 on the Coral Gables Campus, we proudly recognize Kim Stone, M.B.A. ’03, University of Miami trustee and Chief Executive Officer of the Washington Spirit, for her exceptional leadership and enduring impact on professional sports.
Since its founding, the University of Miami has been the backdrop to many love stories. For some Canes, it was love at first sight; for others, their romances blossomed during walks across campus, at football games, or in countless other ways. What they all share is an affinity and appreciation for the University that brought them together, as told in these alumni-submitted stories of luck, fate, and falling in love at the U.
As the University celebrated its first century, The Future Is Now tour carried that momentum to alumni across the country—honoring our history while inspiring Canes about what lies ahead. Led by the Alumni Association and Pat Whitely, senior vice president for student affairs and alumni engagement, the tour concluded with energetic stops in Los Angeles and then New York, which included appearances from President Joe Echevarria, Head Coach Mario Cristobal, and former Hurricane Greg Olsen. Check out highlights from these events, along with earlier gatherings in Dallas and Houston.
