University of Miami

September 2025

message from the Interim dean

The fall semester is well underway, and it has been energizing to see our campus come alive over the past few weeks. Family Weekend was a wonderful opportunity to welcome parents and families, and to share in the excitement of the year ahead.

The coming weeks will bring opportunities for our students to showcase their talent and for our community to come together in support of their success. On September 25, Engineering Career Day will connect students with top companies as they explore future opportunities. The Research Symposium on October 27 will showcase graduate students’ discoveries through poster sessions and oral presentations. And on November 7, we look forward to gathering with faculty and alumni at the Homecoming Breakfast to celebrate the University of Miami’s centennial.

These events reflect our shared commitment to progress and impact. Thank you for supporting the work that moves us forward.

Sincerely,

Vincent Omachonu

Interim Dean, College of Engineering
