School of Law

It is an exciting time to be at the School of Law. This year marks the University's centennial, and we have started the year strong in our commitment to empowering our students, advancing innovation, and strengthening community ties.

We will recognize our faculty achievements this spring with the investiture of Professor Anthony Alfieri to the Michael R. Klein Distinguished Scholar Chair and the retirement celebration of Professor Bernard Oxman. There will also be centennial events at the School of Law and a campus-wide celebration in April. We must also take a moment to remember Professor Marc A. Fajer, who passed away in December. Marc was a national figure in scholarship and a beloved teacher, colleague, student advisor, and LGBTQ advocate. His service to the academy, to this law school, and to decades of students is beyond measure.

Since April of last year, I have had the honor of leading an amazing law school, and I hope you enjoy reading and learning more of the latest highlights from the University of Miami School of Law.
