That is the approximate number of new ’Canes in the Class of 2027 who will arrive on campus this fall. ’Canes Communities throughout the country are hosting Summer Send-Offs to welcome the newest members of the ’Cane family.

Enjoy live music while you catch up with fellow ’Canes at this popular free event. Bring your own food, drinks, picnic blankets, and chairs, and enjoy the sounds of the Highland Park House Band.

Calling South Florida alumni and friends: do you have a family member, friend, or co-worker who wants to complete their bachelor’s degree, but hasn’t because life got in the way? The U’s Bachelor of General Studies program offers evening, weekend, and online courses, plus tuition remission for all University and UHealth employees and their dependents. Join us at the Watsco Center’s Hurricane 100 Room for an open house to learn about the program and application process.

The San Francisco ’Canes invite all alumni, friends, families, and allies as we celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month with this special happy hour, including trivia fun.

July 8 | 7:30 p.m.
Calling all D.C.-area soccer fans! Join the Washington D.C. ’Canes and rep the U at Florida Night at Audi Field, when Inter Miami FC take on DC United. Alumni get discounted tickets until July 1. Make sure to wear your orange and green Hurricane swag!

July 22 | 1 p.m.
Chill out this summer with the Tampa ’Canes at Advent Ice Arena. Bring your friends and family for a session of skating and a special appearance by the Tampa Bay Lightning’s ThunderBug. Ticket proceeds support the Tampa ’Canes Scholarship Fund.

August 20 | 5:30 – 9 p.m.
Three-time Emmy-nominated Saturday Night Live writer, actor, comedian, and podcaster Rob Schneider will be performing at Dania Improv on Sunday, August 20. There will be a Broward ’Canes Social Hour prior to the show, at a location to be announced later this summer. Register here to let us know you'll be joining the Social Hour, and then you can head to the Dania Improv website to purchase tickets for the show.
