Celebrating Stories of Grit and Gratitude

At the heart of every transformative patient story lies the courage and compassion of a dedicated community. Our stories of gratitude are built from a foundation of collective resilience, hope, and purpose. We saw all three converge February 24 at Dolphins Challenge Cancer, DCC XIV, where 6,702 participants walked, ran, and biked to raise funds for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Together, we raised a record-breaking $12 million—all of which goes to helping us find cancer cures. Read More.

Celebrating Black History Month

As we celebrate Black History Month, we honor and thank George L. Sanders, M.D. ’69, for his contributions to the Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Sanders was the School of Medicine's first African American graduate in 1969 and would go on to have a distinguished career as a cardiologist before returning to the Air Force, where he retired as a colonel. His appreciation for the medical school is one of the reasons he is also a longtime supporter of the John K. Robinson Fund, generously donating primarily to medical scholarships since 1980.
